Affiliate disclosure

The short answer

Some links on this site may be affiliate links: if you buy through them, MiniSplitZip may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never change a cost estimate, a ranking or a number on this site, and they are marked rel="sponsored nofollow".

Amazon Associates

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon links are search links to Amazon.com, so you see Amazon's current prices and availability, not prices we typed in. We add Amazon links only where a product link helps, today the DIY vs installed page; city, state and brand pages carry none.

How it affects the content

• Estimates come only from the data files described on the method page.
• Brand pages list every ENERGY STAR cold-climate certified brand with enough systems, whether or not it has an affiliate program.
• We do not accept payment to change what a page says.
